my yoga journey began in 2014 years ago, i chose to step out of my comfort zone to battle my depression, the feeling of being unworthy of change and afraid of what the world really had to offer. i was disconnected to myself in so many ways, not knowing who i really was or what my dharma (life’s purpose) was. connecting my mind, body and soul wasn’t something i wanted to do but something I needed to do. growing up as a competitive athlete my whole life, yoga wasn’t something that came natural to me but i wanted to challenge myself in new ways, physically, mentally and emotionally. it became a kind of therapy for me as i started living in the eight limbs of yoga every day, i noticed so many other areas of my life changing. yoga has opened me up to so much gratitude and the most important thing it has taught me is that even in a chaotic world you can still find peace, on & off the mat.
i finished my 200hour YTT with swastha yoga international in costa rica in 2019 and within my teaching i prioritize accessibility and joy for everyone, regardless of their body type or experience level. i offer a variety of modifications and props to ensure that each pose can be adapted to individual needs, fostering a welcoming environment. by incorporating playful elements, such as funky transitions and creative flows, i encourage students to explore movement in a lighthearted way. i celebrate all bodies by highlighting their unique strengths and abilities, creating a space where everyone feels empowered to embrace their practice. my goal is to make yoga a joyful experience that resonates with diverse backgrounds and physical capabilities, inviting everyone to connect with themselves and each other. i am here in hopes to guide you and help take you on your own mind to body connection journey through yoga. breathe with me as we align our lives; flowing and growing together.
