yin
Written By Missy Bockmaster
yin yoga is a slow and calming practice, which targets the deep connective tissues and joints in the body. yin asanas (postures) are held for longer periods, generally between 3-5 minutes, to encourage release and restoration on a deeper level. through this quiet practice, we begin to cultivate patience and stillness of both the mind and body. yin is practiced with the assistance of blocks &/or bolsters to help ease or deepen the stretch. suitable for all.
