the nitty gritty

studio policies

late arrival

the front door locks 1 minute before class starts. unfortunately, we don’t accept latecomers as class always starts right on schedule to respect the students and teachers time, and ensure everyone’s experience remains peaceful and undisrupted. we know that getting stuck behind the train can happen often, so we recommend taking talbot street to avoid it!

CANCELLATION

if you need to cancel a class, that’s no problem! please just cancel prior to class start time in order for us to refund your pass to your account. if you can’t make it to class, please make sure you cancel online so we know not to expect you or give us a call at 519-601-9809, otherwise we’ll worry!

no-show

if you know you’re not going to be able to make class, we ask that you be courteous and cancel out of it or let us know so we know not to expect you - there’s no penalty for cancelling a class! if you don’t show up & there is a waitlist for the class that will result in a loss of your pass. if you have an unlimited pass, you will be charged $10. we understand that life happens, so if there are extenuating circumstances please email the studio directly at welcome@andasanas.com.

studio etiquette

BE ON TIME

remember to give yourself a few moments to check in, change, and settle in for practice. the front door will lock a minute before class starts and the studio doors will close when class starts. unfortunately, we can’t accept latecomers and they will not be allowed in once class has started.

BE COMFORTABLE

please remove your shoes at our entrance…the rest of our space is a socks and bare feet only zone to keep it nice and clean for all.

BE PREPARED

arrive for class well-hydrated and bring a reusable water bottle (can be filled with our reverse osmosis water at the studio), a small towel (if you need it for sweat!), a mat towel if you’d like (we do offer them for rent for $2), and a mat (also available for rent for $3 if you need). if you plan to shower, make sure to also bring yourself a shower towel as those are not available at the studio at this time.

BE SILENT

observe silence in the studio spaces. for many, this quiet time is a cherished part of practice. our zen lounge seating area is perfect for quiet conversation and connection, before or after class.

BE PRESENT

leave your electronics and personal belongings in your car or in the change room, and set smart-watches/fitness trackers to “do not disturb”. for your experience and the experience of others, practice distraction-free!

BE MINDFUL & SAFE

listen to your body…it’s often smarter than you! feel free to notify the instructor of any injuries, and rest whenever you need, but please remain in the studio for the duration of the whole practice.

BE PATIENT & KIND

start where you are, use what you have, do what you can. your practice is always enough.
