My yoga journey began in 2009. At that time I was a cardio junkie who was part of a start-up business, and had trouble getting a full night's sleep. One day at the gym, a friend invited me join her in a yoga class that was starting in 5 minutes and I did. To be honest, I did not love that first class. But something miraculous happened; I slept that night!
I started to make yoga a regular part of my regimen, and 6 months later I went on what I thought was a yoga retreat, but turned out to be an intensive yoga teacher training. This training opened something up within me, and I fell even deeper in love with yoga as a medium of service. I’ve been teaching ever since, and over the years have founded two non profit organizations bringing mind body wellbeing trainings to Palestinian and Syrian Refugee Camps in the Middle East and First Nations Reserves in Northern Canada. I have over 1000 hours in teacher training credentials, and I have played a role in training thousands of teachers.
This practice has brought something so wonderful to my life that I have been compelled to share it with students everywhere.
